Fractional CTO

Not every organisation needs a full-time CTO, but many need experienced technical leadership to set direction, manage risk, and control costs. As a fractional CTO, I help define technical strategy, establish architecture governance, and ensure cloud and platform decisions support both business growth and financial discipline.

Depending on the engagement, this can include leading platform modernisation, strengthening security and compliance practices, improving cost transparency and optimisation, and shaping team structure and hiring. I place strong emphasis on operational resilience, including realistic disaster recovery planning and testing, drawing on experience running highly reliable systems in regulated environments. I remain hands-on where it matters, while keeping the organisation focused on outcomes rather than technology for its own sake.
